When registering to attend Intermodal Europe 2013, visitors also have the opportunity to register for a place on an exclusive tour of the Port of Hamburg during the event.

We are inviting Intermodal Europe visitors to a port tour by boat through the Port of Hamburg on Wednesday 9 October, which is day two of the three day event” says Axel Mattern, CEO, Port of Hamburg Marketing. “The port tour will give the attendees a wide overview about the development plans and operational procedures in the port. It will bring the participants close to the container terminals and the several multi-purpose and bulk terminals will be seen from the waterside of the universal port.

The Port of Hamburg (known in Germany as Hamburger Hafen) is one of Hamburg's largest attractions and is on the river Elbe, located 110 kilometres from the mouth of the Elbe into the North Sea.

We are pleased that Intermodal Europe is taking place in Hamburg again” says Axel Mattern. “With the largest German seaport and as an important hub for the seagoing foreign trade in Europe, Hamburg is a good place to be for Europe's leading container transport and logistics event.

Intermodal Europe is the world's leading free-to-attend container transport and logistics event and will be held at the Hamburg Messe in Germany from 8-10 October, 2013.

The growth Intermodal Europe has experienced in recent years is testament to the quality of exhibitors and visitors, as well as speakers presenting interesting and relevant discussion topics. It also demonstrates the growth and positivity within the shipping container industry, in spite of difficult economic climates” adds Event Director of Intermodal Europe, Sophie Ahmed.
