The world's leading free-to-attend container transport and logistics event, Intermodal Europe, is the place to see the latest innovation in container design and management. Intermodal Europe 2013 will be held at the Hamburg Messe in Germany from 8-10 October.
Exhibitor, OÜ Xmetra, an Estonia based company,
will be introducing the innovative hazardous materials
leak detector at Intermodal Europe 2013. OÜ
Xmetra is a technological start-up company involved
in the development and manufacture of wireless
leak detectors for HazMats transportation applications.
The system is designed to detect leaks of hazardous
materials, such as chlorine and bromine, during
transportation by ISO tank containers, road tankers
and rail tank cars, and to alert managers to potential
hazards. This innovative product is reported to
improve safety and eliminate the risk of accidents,
terrorist attacks and environmental pollution
during the transportation and storage of toxic
chemicals. It uses special sensors, combined with
modern communication, detection and energy saving
technologies.
WAM (Wireless Asset Management LLC) is a technology division formed by Mark-It Services that addresses the growing industry demand for greater control and visibility of refrigerated assets and cargo, and will be exhibiting for the first time.
“With the launch of our second generation WAM-R global reefer monitoring solution and new website, we will be demonstrating the developments in our products and introducing visitors to remote wireless monitoring, relevant to refrigerated containers and related assets, such as dry containers, reefer trailers, chassis and gensets” explains Sean Maguire of WAM Technologies LLC.
Sea Star Line has utilised WAM to enhance its ground breaking StarGuard Elite Service for refrigerated cargo, providing reefer customers, especially pharmaceutical companies, full visibility of the reefer's progress, 24/7. WAM's new WAM-R technology gives Sea Star Line wireless monitoring capacities on 100% of its refrigerated container fleet, marine terminals and vessels - a first in the industry.
Freightos is a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution for the logistics industry, offering contract management, online quotations, and the Freightos Network for matching buyers and sellers of freight services. The Freightos Network, which includes a free service for routing quote inquiries, and quotes, between freight forwarder agents online, will be launched to various vendors and freight buyers at Intermodal 2013.
Freightos Network complements Freightos' existing contract management and auto-quote technology. Vendors can increase sales while buyers can reduce the cost of sourcing freight. As well as the Freightos Network, the company will showcase the capability to manage contracts and auto-generate end-to-end routing and pricing in seconds.
“For many exhibitors, Intermodal Europe
provides the ideal opportunity to unveil new products”
says Sophie Ahmed. “Visitors know they can
come to Intermodal Europe to discover the latest
equipment, systems, technology and services designed
to improve operations throughout the container
and shipping industry.”
