Visitors to Intermodal Europe 2013 can attend a conference session titled ‘Spotlight on Asia: forecasting container trade outlook across the region', led by Mr. Gopal of Frost and Sullivan on Tuesday 8 October at the Hamburg Messe, Germany.
“We will provide insight into the Asian economy and container trade during the Asia focussed conference session at Intermodal Europe 2013, as well as looking at how freight movement will progress in the next few years,” says Mr. Gopal, Global VP, Transportation and Logistics Practice, of research and consulting company Frost and Sullivan. “We will also discuss the kind of opportunities that currently exist in the Asian markets and how trade is shifting in the Asia-Pacific Region.”
People attending the Asia conference at Intermodal Europe 2013, titled ‘Spotlight on Asia: forecasting container trade outlook across the region', are expected to include professionals from, and service providers to, the supply chain and maritime sectors, interested in the latest opportunities presented in the Asian market and how to use them.
“With the economic situation in Europe improving, businesses can analyse their operations and learn from different countries, forging new relationships and prospects across continental markets,” adds Mr. Gopal.
A similar conference session about the Asian market was led by Mr. Gopal at Intermodal Europe 2012 in Amsterdam.
“There was a lot of interest during last year's conference session, with a good level of participation in the question and answer session and people drawing comparisons between Europe and Asia,” he says. “Intermodal Europe attracts a good quality audience -people attend not just to create sales opportunities, but because they are interested in knowledge enhancement and discussing opportunities and developments in the market.”
New Informa event, Intermodal Asia will take place from 1-3 April 2014. “It will be interesting to see how the subject of intermodalism is explored in the Asian market, particularly as the cost of fuel around the world is moving freight transportation from road to rail in many areas,” Mr.Gopal says of the Intermodal Asia event. “There are currently talks about the development of a railroad network across Asia, so it will be a well-timed event.”
Intermodal Europe 2013 is a three day, free-to-attend event, taking place from 8-10 October in Hamburg. For more information about Intermodal Europe or Intermodal Asia, please contact Sophie Ahmed sophie.ahmed@informa.com or call +44 (0) 207 017 5112.
