Intermodal Europe 2013 from 8-10 October at the Hamburg Messe in Germany will be the place for container transport and logistics professionals to see new products and attend conference sessions on current topics in the industry.

US based intermodal cargo shipping container company, CakeBoxx Technologies, will be introducing its technologically innovative containers.

We have developed the CakeBoxx doorless intermodal cargo container to help solve some of the most pressing challenges in container shipping today, including cargo security, safety, space utilisation, loading and unloading efficiency and access for inspection.” explains Deak Childress, Chief Operations Officer, CakeBoxx Technologies. “Intermodal Europe 2013 provides an ideal platform to present our new products and to network with container logistics professionals.

Estonia based Xmetra provides specific products and solutions for hazardous materials transportation and is also exhibiting at Intermodal Europe. The new company develops and manufactures technological solutions for the remote detection, tracking and localisation of leakages during the multimodal transportation of hazardous materials like Chlorine and Bromine liquefied gases.



Intermodal Europe 2013 will see the worldwide premiere of our new product, a leak detection system dedicated to ISO tanks, rail car tanks and road tankers used for the transportation of toxic gases” explains Andrey Luybyanitsky, owner of Xmetra OU. "I have visited Intermodal previously and found it to be an ideal place to meet industry colleagues and potential customers."

Free to attend conference sessions led by high profile speakers run alongside the exhibition. Conference speakers share their industry knowledge and experience to provide invaluable sessions, covering important topics for the container and intermodal industry, with question and answer sessions creating an interactive forum for the audience.

The Partners of the TIGER DEMO Project, an EU Commission Project co-funded under the 7th Framework Program as the continuation of the TIGER Project, will chair a conference session presenting the international experiences so far, individuated and demonstrated during TIGER and TIGER DEMO. The TIGER DEMO stands for 'Trans-Rail Integrated Goods European-Express Routes Demonstrators'.

"Intermodal Europe 2013 provides an opportunity to share best practices and the experiences so far of TIGER DEMO" explains Franco Castagnetti, TIGER DEMO Project Leader. "Through TIGER DEMO we are demonstrating the developments and practices presented in the TIGER Project and the implementations that have taken place with the three demonstrators in Italy and Germany."

Intermodal Europe, now an Informa event, was established in 1976 and brings together container transport and logistics professionals from all over the world. Informa has also recently announced a new event, Intermodal Asia, which will take place in Shanghai in April 2014.
